So in an effort to help you on your question about LG LCD TVs LG’s specs are outstanding.

So Yes. LG is a good “Brand Name”. But whatever you get make sure it has a screen refresh rate of 5 milliseconds or smaller. Anything higher than 5ms and the picture will be just a blur during action scenes.
Of course, LG is the new name for the Zenith company, a Goldstar Company, is a good company to deal with & found nothing wrong with their TV’s or appliances.

Even though some feel Samsung may be better than LG on paper, the LG features are far better than Samsung (See above specifications).
I considered the following points: contrast ratio, response time, processing engine, full HD, etc & am also planning to buy a PS3 for gaming/playing Blue ray discs.
So we encourage you to compare to other brands HOWEVER- if  you do- ask the shop assistant to show you the picture quality on free-to-air TV signals AND NOT off in-store videos setup to make them ALL look good. A trap most fall into.

LG is cutting egde!

For example, LG Display has revealed a new LG LCD TV that measures only 2.6mm thick (A tenth of an inch), possibly the world’s thinnest LCD TV on record.
This ultra-thin LCD may come in a low-profile package, but it maintains market standards with full 1080p playback and at a minimum of 120Hz refresh rate. Of course the skyes-the-limit on pricing here so I doubt any of us will purchasing this top-end form of LCD TV any time soon.

Of course, LG’s 42-inch super-svelte TV is made thinner thanks to an edge-lit LED back-light and a new form of optical film. This technology maintains image quality standards while shedding both weight and size in the LCD form factor. This unit will offer the aforementioned 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate in an LCD that will weigh around 8.8 pounds across a 42-inch screen. Build that into a TV unit, says LG, and you can mount this on your wall in a heartbeat.

What about Lg LCD TV size?

The 32 inch LCD TV has 2 speakers (output of 240 watts) with SRS Tru-Surround XT and Dolby Digital decoder for virtual surround. 100 programs with convenience features like auto-off, auto sound leveler and OSD. high dynamic contrast ratio of 80000:1 and 500cd/m2 of brightness and has Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Along with 2 composite, 1 component input, PC input and 2 HDMI Inputs it has USB 2.0 (video capable) means more flexibility to attach digital devices. has viewing angle of 178 degree and faster response time of 4 ms.
BUT, whatever size screen you get, just keep in mind that at the size you are looking at to get you can not see the difference between 720p standard HD and 1080p FULL HD, you need at least a 46″ screen or larger.

Which should I buy a LG LCD TV or say a Sony LCD TV?

LG made make Good quality LCD TV. For any 37 inc and below size screen, LG have the same Quality compare to Samsung.Sony.Toshiba.Panasonic and in reasonable price. Sony and Samsung are in top quality for big screen-40 inc and above. Sony and Samsung use the same 32 inc LCD display panel .made in Korea by S-LCD ,a LCD display manufactures Joint Venture between Two. LG and Philips use the same Display panel ( any size ) from LG-Philips Display in Korea. LG is become a worldwide brand for electronics items, market and technical support worldwide. not only TV. LG air-con is World No 1 for the pass 7 years ( total sales quantity worldwide ) . you will enjoy Quality picture + reliable from LG 32-30R LCD tv, and paid less compare to other 32 inc from those worldwide brand TV.( you paid less to any other local in-house brand , but not in quality ).

Your LG LCD TV warranty.

Reading the language on a TV warranty can be a lot like trying to read a complex legal settlement, and in many ways it is. The warranty ‘verbiage’ is written to protect the company not the consumer, but most companies try to present good customer service and will work with you during the warranty period. Whether you have an LCD TV warranty or Plasma TV warranty, understanding it is extremely important.
One undercover fact that goes unpublished (except here) is the great expense associated with Television repairs that are out of warranty. Costs to take the TV in to a service center, and purchase new parts and labor for a television that is out of warranty can be exorbitant, due to the fact that there is usually only one service center per area and no limitations on what the service center can charge. This can lead to gouging if the customer does not have television extended warranty protection.
Most warranties will cover parts and service. Most will require documentation of the problem and the service will have to be authorized. These services will only cover manufacturing defects and not shipping costs so make sure your Warranty specifies this before you by OR at least make sure you understand EXACTLY your rights if you do purchase.

So whether your choice is with Features HD-ready 1080p Lcd-tv, with freeview ready, XD engine technology, HDMI-wide-screen tv, etc we have already expressed our views on LG in the first part of this article. We also believe that the heavyweights in the industry need to keep an open eye on LG as it will surely pose some serious competition in the not too distant future.

What is an lcd tv -Good or Bad?

With many modern LCD TV’s coming with 5 year tv guarantee available, HUGE dynamic contrast resolution, FULL HD LCD TELEVISION FREEVIEW ready boasting upto 65 inch diagonal displays & 1080p with 1366×768 resolutions AND the many brands like Samsung lcd tv, Panasonic lcd tv, Sharp Aquos and Home cinema systems, etc  – it’s VERY easy to get lost in the jargon; so lets just back-track a little and explain e few things.

LCD is short for ‘liquid crystal display’ which is a type of display that uses an array of crystals in front of a backlight source  When voltage is applied to these crystals they twist to allow varying amounts of light to pass through colour filters and is a process that happens at every pixel (A pixel is the Smallest screen unit which makes it up) to essentially display the entire image on the screen with some screens displaying over a million pixels
An LCD TV pixel therefore is comprised of three sub-pixels in the elementary colors or Red, Green and Blue. Because Liquid crystals don’t actually emit light, LCD TV & LCD Monitor displays need white backlighting. The light emitted by the backlighting passes through the liquid crystal and is then colored by a filter. Each subpixel has the same characteristics with only the color of the filter changing depending on the pixel. The liquid crystal of each subpixel can be controlled electrically like a valve; the amount of light allowed to pass through the crystal governs how much red, green and blue is emitted for each pixel. Indeed active matrix LCDs employ thin film transistors (TFTs) or tiny switching transistors and capacitors arranged in a matrix on a glass substrate, to direct electric charges down columns to reach a particular pixel. In turn, this causes the liquid crystals to untwist and display a predetermined amount of light generated by the light source which is usually a fluorescent bulb located in back of them. By exploiting a combination of red, green, and blue subpixels of various intensities (or gray scales), a single pixel triad can reproduce approximately 16.8 million colors.

Of course, LCD Tv’s are used in monitors for computers, televisions, instrument panels, and other devices ranging from aircraft cockpit displays, to every-day consumer devices such as video players, gaming devices, alarm clocks, watches, calculators, and telephones. Among its major features are its lightweight construction, its portability, and its ability to be produced in much larger screen sizes than are practical for the construction of the old cathode ray tube (CRT) display technology. Also it’s low electrical power consumption enables it to be conveniently used in battery-powered electronic equipment.

Today’s LCD tv’s are Flat Panel TV’s with Full HD (Full High Definition) which means theres no need to scale down a 1080 signal for with twice the pixel resolution of 720p standard HD models, Full HDTV LCD TV creates the pinnacle in picture quality commonly ranging from 22 inches up to 65 plus inches in some models.

LCD television is the pinnacle of this Flat screen technology; the end product of continual rigorous development and ingenious design. As each new generation rolls out of the world’s LCD plants, the innovations are numerous and accompanied by a leap in quality and capability. However this poses a unique problem for consumers that they have never really had to face before when buying a television with the market flooded with choice, and with the high price of flat panel televisions it is hard to make the right decision with confidence.
Therefore a trip to your local home entertainment store to buy a new Television is a task that can easily become so confusing for so many people that they leave the store without making a purchase. Indeed we’re WAY past the days of just buying the size of the old CRT TV that best fits our needs or our budget. With so many different types of TV technologies on the market these days, one really has to know what they want in a TV before even approaching the shopping stage. The main issues that have to be tackled are the size of the TV you want and how much you’re willing to spend.
LCD TVs have largely taken over from standard CRT televisions in the past decade commonly with LCD TVs vary in size from 22 Inch to 37 Inch models, but due to manufacturing costs are coming down we are now seeing manufacturers like Samsung and Sony producing much larger screens sometimes up to 65 inches and more.

Sales have grown hugely in LCD Televisions, partly because the older plasma screens have a shorter life span and use more energy but major companies like Sony, Toshiba and Samsung have invested heavily in Liquid Crystal Display technology.

So LCD tv’s are Great with Amazing colour / contrast and brightness. The blacks are so deep and whites so crisp It does everything it says on the tin and more with this many features you would think that the menu system would be awkward to navigate but a couple of return / exit buttons make it really easy.
With brands like LG LCD televisions, Sharp aquos LCD Tvs, Sanyo lcd tv, Samsung lcd tvs, are the ideal centerpiece for your home cinema system, no matter the size or scale. Feast your senses on LG’s forward-thinking design, high resolution, advanced connectivity, and intuitive touch controls.
